What covers are available for my Fishing Vessel?

We can cover you for Full Cover which would typically cover the Hull, Gear/Machinery and Third Party Liability or we can insure for just Third Party Liability Only. Under both policies we also have the option to add Crew Liability & Employers Liability for smaller boats and Protection & Indemnity and Employers Liability for larger vessels.

What’s the difference between Crew Liability and Employers Liability?

Crew Liability is designed for Shared Fisherman and Employers Liability is legally required if your Crew are employees. Crew Liability typically excludes shore based activities and covers such as Repatriation. If you are of unsure of what cover to choose, we can guide you through this.

What is the legal Liability limit to be in the Water in the UK?

The legal liability limit is £3,000,000 in the UK and our policies will also include this limit at the very least.
